but i've got a splitting headache and my face feels swollen.
maybe i will see the vog tomorrow.
or maybe it's invisible sulfur dioxide.
or maybe it's campy from micro lab. just kidding. (please don't let it be that.)
actually, now that i'm thinking about it, i ate saimin which probably had a lot of msg in the soup.
i did't drink the soup but maybe that's it... even my fingers are slightly swollen...
nothing else to say today.
except that i figured out that taking bus 23 then 6 is faster than taking bus 3 then 6. saves me about 15 minutes
i have yet to try bus 23 then 14 then 6. from my calculations, it should save me 20 minutes. i'll have to try it out.
on the i was listening to my ipod on random. "she's the blade" from Sugarcult came on. i remember when i first heard the song- it was on mtv or vh1 in the early morning. it was black friday and i was waking up to go shopping- i must've been in 10th grade or something with AC- and i was psyching myself up with music videos. and she's the blade came on and then they played "i'm not okay" by my chemical romance (my favorite song at the time). so now i always listen to those songs back to back because that's how i heard them! i can't think of one without the other. i even remember what i was wearing: my green shirt and jeans jacket. and i had a cup of coffee in my room and i must've still had my tv plugged in since i was watching in my room! funny, the things you remember.
other songs i always listen to back to back:
1. "red socks pugie" - the foals
2. "come on feet" - pete and the pirates
i heard these two songs consecutively and now i always listen to them in this order.
1. "simple plan" - hooray for earth
2. "race for the prize" - flaming lips
3. "she's in the city" - hey lover
i used to listen to my itunes ordered by play count and this was always the order. usually i listen on random now but i always choose the other two songs next if i hear one of them.
1. "slow hands" - interpol
2. "ministry of defense" - the fatales
3. "sweet troubled soul" - stellastarr*
4. "let's talk about spaceships" - say hi to your mom
i used to have an mp3 play that held 20 songs or so. these were part of the 20. actually, i might even know the whole list. damn thing always played "random" in the same order so i always knew what song was next. i had some good times with that cheap thing, i wonder what happened to it.
there are some others, but i can't think of them right now.
on tuesday we were studying our ASSESS off for a quiz on complement pathway and when class starts, john tells us that we looked like we were studying so hard he canceled our quiz. :O
damn! i was studying hard! i was ready to get 10s !
alas. his tactic made us study so i suppose it wasn't in vain.
we also got to look at real life macrophages that had IgG in their Fc receptors. And the IgG was from mouse monoclonals anti-SRBC. so we dumped some sheep red blood cells in and the macrophages were "decorated like christmas trees". our mouse EJ1-C8 didn't work (it was an IgM so it shouldn't have worked) but i got to look at the positive control which was working. :)
so, in light of this joyous occasion, i present you my favorite christmas songs, by the raveonettes, nonetheless.
don't worry, they aren't annoying- they are my favorite songs regardless of the season.
