i already had a few adventures (if you've seen le facebook, you might know), i have some pictures on the 35mm so you'll have to wait for me to finish the roll. ;)
so after all the tears from microbiology semester from hell, i went to yoga and sweat it all out and then i cooled down at ala moana before catching the bus home.
when i was at the shopping center... i caved and bought a shirt from lululemon. i have been skeptical of the value of the clothing... is one shirt really technically perfect it should cost over $50?! the answer is yes. yes it is so amazing and i am still T___T that i spent so much for ONE SHIRT but it really is the best sports clothing purchase i have ever made.
i bought this swiftly tech short sleeve scoop: http://shop.lululemon.com/products/clothes-accessories/view-all-women-tops/Run-Swiftly-Tech-Short-Sleeve-Scoop?cc=14669&skuId=3538027&catId=cat1340007 and tested it on a crazy mid-afternoon bike ride.
things i like about it:
- the fabric is stretchy but not scratchy.
did you ever buy those sports bras from target? yeah, they are stretchy and wick sweat but they are scratchy. and if you go for microfiber stuff, they don't wick sweat as well. that's what you get for $13 right? this lulu shirt is impossibly soft! softer than nike dri-fit miller shirts!
- it actually wicks sweat.
i have other "sweat wicking" clothing that kind of absorb sweat and then dry quick. wearing this lulu shirt i didn;t even feel like i was sweating! you don't feel wet! (and yes, i know i was sweating because my arms were dripping.) also, the store lady was explaining that the subtle lulu pattern is not just a design, it's actually a different weave for more ventilation. i must say, yes, this stuff actually works. 8|
- it's long and doesn't bunch up.
i like longer shirts and this one is a great length! there's no point in a longer shirt if it doesn't stay down but this one does. it's almost gravity defying- i tried some regular yoga in this and it doesn't budge, even in all the twisting poses and of course head/hand stand. i think it helps the bottom hem isn't too thick so it doesn't roll up your torso when you move. i've yet to try it at aerial (i bet there are very few people in the world who get fabric burns on their back) but i have high hopes.
so now that i am spoiled with the good stuff, how can i wear other shirts?! guess i just have to work some overtime so i can get the other colors and a long sleeve version for the silks... /(- u -)/
