friday again, can you believe it's september already?
anyway, here's another friday5. answer for yourself or see others' answers here: http://f.riday5.com/?p=1442
- What’s something that recently required perseverance?
teaching my mom how to use the DVD player. every time she wants to watch a video it's like she's seeing the machine for the first time. i don't know why she can't learn this. i guess it just takes repetition. i'm almost ready to give up. but i have to keep trying... one day she will learn!
- What’s something that’s been unpleasantly persistent?
the humidity! :(
- When has practice not proven to make perfect?
i am having such a hard time with a one handed shuffle. my hand is on the smaller side (my workplace orders xs gloves JUST FOR ME, hahaha...) so there is not enough strength to push the cards into a faro. i have been practicing this for YEARS. with a new deck. a poop deck. with a plastic deck. with less than a full deck.
Bone Ho makes it look so easy T__T
one day, maybe i will get it. just have to keep working at it, i guess.
i also have trouble with L cuts- my thumb can barely reach the edge of the pack! this is why i have to get the SMALLEST iphone. not because i'm some minimalist or whatever. I JUST HAVE SMALL HANDS. anyway, if you want to give L cuts a try, here's a video. it's so pretty!
- Where were you last required to exercise patience?
between your band and the other band
i'll explain myself in the next post.
(and yes, i stole that line from Tigers Jaw, but you will see it is a perfect description)
- How do you feel about peas?
i love peas! i would never call them little green balls of mushy poison
yes, these are pictures of a book i own... i've kept it since 1989 for god knows why. it's even more amazing that i would recall the story. i guess the things you learn as a kid stick with you forever.
oh hi, do you like the Pillows?
